24-Hour Skilled Nursing Care.
Neville Center prides itself on our very high nursing staff to resident ratio with highly trained nurses scheduled around the clock. As a skilled nursing facility, we are able to provide a wide range of services including: IV therapies, medical nutrition, wound treatments and prevention, and end-of life services. Our 24-hour skilled nursing services are directed by a full-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner who can immediately change medications or treatment plans to best meet the changing needs of our residents. Our multidisciplinary nursing team consists of nurse managers, RN’s, LPN’s, and certified nurse assistants. In addition to the complex nursing care provided, we also pay special attention to our residents’ comfort and satisfaction.
Rehabilitation Therapies
The Neville Center offers diverse team of Therapists and Doctors who offer our residents some of the most progressive physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy programs in the area. Our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Department uses advanced techniques and equipment which improves patient outcomes resulting in earlier discharges to home. All of the rehabilitation programs we offer are carefully designed to assist patients in regaining their optimal functionality and independence. Our occupational therapists focus on balance and upper body strengthening - necessary skills for daily living. Our physical therapists focus on lower body strengthening, gait training, transfer abilities, and assistive device usage. Speech therapists focus on managing swallowing deficits, developing problem solving abilities, and improving speech and language skills. Together, their goal is to provide each resident with the opportunity to overcome barriers and re-master lost functional skills due to limitations caused by illness or age.
Specialized Medical Nutrition Therapy
A Registered Dietitian is available seven days per week to create and implement individualized nutrition programs. To help manage disease states, Weight Management, Diabetic Education, and Therapeutic Diets are available. All types of tube feeding are provided at Neville Center. In addition, The Registered Dietitian and the Speech Language Pathologist create and implement specialized treatment plans to wean residents off of tube feeding.
IV Therapy
Neville Center nurses are extensively trained in IV medication and hydration infusion. IV therapy may be prescribed for people who are dehydrated, who need antibiotic therapy, who are unable to eat regular food and need a special nutritional formula or for other medical conditions. These services are administered and managed on-site by nurses under RN supervision.
Pain Management
Our motto is that no one should ever be in pain. Nurses complete frequently scheduled pain assessments on all residents. The full-time, on-site Nurse Practitioner adjusts the prescribed pain medication as frequently as necessary to ensure that all of our residents are pain-free.
Case Management
Our case management team helps residents easily navigate through the complexities of insurance and pharmacy coverage. The Business Office Manager is also available to help residents complete insurance applications. In addition, our social workers and nurses pre-arrange community-based services for all residents who are discharged from Neville Center.
Psychosocial Wellness
Being away from home and coping with medical problems can cause mental strain. Neville Center has a team of mental health professionals who provide pharmaceutical interventions and counseling to any resident who may require their services, seven days per week.
Activities and Recreation
Neville Center employs a large staff of recreation specialists who help create a blend of group and individual activities calendars for all of our residents. Through comprehensive, innovative programs, our aim is to assist individuals in achieving self-sufficiency and personal satisfaction. We also offer scheduled amusements including High Tea, Wine Appreciation, Indoor and Outdoor Gardening, Hawaiian Barbeques, and Live Jazz.
A la Carte Dining
Neville Center offers a one-of-a-kind gourmet menu which includes such entrees as Stuffed Shrimp, Prime Rib, Swordfish Kabobs and Lemon Thyme Chicken. Additionally, residents may order from our extensive a la carte menu 24 hours per day, seven days per week!
